在拉丝油的调试阶段，总是存在着暂时起泡的现象，即使是设计尺寸合适的系统，就算使用了去离子水也还是会增加产生泡沫的可能性。泡沫一般可能会维持几小时甚至几天，但较易于控制，并可达到稳定状态，偶然产生的泡沫常常由于意外因素造成。使用清洗剂清洗机器也会引起泡沫。
产生泡沫的原因是空气混入拉丝油造成。所以，要防止拉丝油产生泡沫就一定要防止空气的混入，应当采取如下措施：
1、限制搅动；
2、控制管路末端的溢流；
3、保持液面高度，避免泵吸入口进入空气；
4、避免液槽设计尺寸过小，系统大小要合适；
5、检查泵的功能及密封状况；
6、检查循环系统温度。
